filter operation is mandatory even if not used

Description
When I do not use my own filter for synchronization, I still have to choose filter operation. This is a bit annoying.

This is true (attribute is mandatory on the DB) and that is why the item is always pre-filled. The only way to get this validation warning is that you have to clear the item manually. It is so?
You are right, I wanted to clean up my own filter so I removed all the values from the form. This is more a cosmetic problem, so I set LOW priority and this can be resolved during cold winter nights when somebody is fed up watching TV shows :-)
