Task #982
openEnglish in info, warning and error messages
0%
Description
Many of the messages are not easy to understand, usually since they do not make a sense in English and has many typos and grammar mistakes. We should revise the messages that IdM print out for IdM users.
Example:
This identity-account (identity-role id: 92650727-58ec-4c80-99f1-edfc5360f525) is new and duplicated, we do not want create duplicated relation! We will reusing already persisted identity-account [402ac30d-ce79-49cb-bbe5-1a0dd526979e]. Probable reason: Same identity-account had to be created by assigned default role!

Ok, what message do you prefer for this example? Anything can be revised, but maybe it would be better (effective) to improve specific cases. Not just say review everything.

In this specific case, I would not print out this into GUI at all. It confuses administrator.s In my case I thought that I had made something wrong on sysAccount before I started synchronization. So I was unsure that the current state of all objects is OK. Since it is common behaviour (sync create IdMAccount and then again by assigning default role), as I understand from Ondra, It might be a solution to print out the message into application server log only if necessary.
This whole ticket, disregarding the example, is more about general messages formulation that admin a users meet during their work. Improving one by one is a way, and I will instruct other implementers, that work more with the source code, to do so during their work on projects.
But still, global revision on all messages should take place at least once - that is why I set priority as LOW.
