I checked frontend sources in released jars on nexus and from version 2.0.0 jar contains frontend sources. Only version before 2.0.0 doesn't contains the frontend sources. All these version contains frontend sources:
2.0.0
2.1.0
2.1.1
2.2.0
2.3.0
Asciidoc plugin was really missing:
