Description

I think that the Requests on virtual systems should be displayed in the task list, not separately.

There is a checkbox while creating a new system (not the virtual one) "Virtual" but it is not possible to check it. Why? On the other hand, it maybe logical to have a single agenda/menu for creating new systems, where the virtual ones are created by checking the checkbox.

VS requests in separate list are deliberate.

Why?
  • Agenda for VS requests must exist ... it is basic functionallity for VS.
  • Create redundant workflow task is possible, but we not want do this now (great labor vs. small impact).
  • VS requests in task list have some disadvantages: You can not easy cancel or approve task (directly from table of task list). You cannot see some informations, like link on system, name of implementers (links too) ....

Checkbox on system is only for filtering. Virtual system is not defined by this checbox, but by selected system connector. VS are separate module, it is not easy to call module dependent functionality, from core module (as is system detail). For this purpose was created list of Virtual system, where you can create VS system easy.

I agree with Rosta on that. I would like to see tasks at one place, e.g. there can be 2 tables in main menu tab: Tasks... In future there will definitely be many types of tasks not only role request approval and virtual system ones.

Configuration of virtual systems fits under menu tab System I think and than the whole menu Virtual Systems can be removed and UI is easier. But this one is for discussion.
