We should have a guide on patching the operating system underlying our IdM installation.

Basic outline:
  • Linux / Windows
  • Things to consider
  • Risks
  • Update rollback strategies
  • Preparation and backup
  • Performing the update
  • Testing the OS and IdM to check everything is ok

Review was performed, all hints make sense. If the customer keeps all the hints, he will be able to update an OS in a secure way or in the worst case to revert his action. (of course preparation and following all hints may be time consuming)
